Kenna has been grooming for over 20 years working in salons across NY, Texas and Northern California. Her specialty is working with overly anxious rescues and super seniors.
After many years in the business she began to see just how stressful the grooming environment can be: often overbooked, commonly rushed and always loud, the typical grooming salon never allows the proper time the dogs deserve. It is not uncommon for groomers to force instead of gently allowing causing anxiety, distrust and an overall bad experience that is never forgotten.
Kenna will never force or push but simply work with the dogs current comfort level to gain trust. Overtime this trust brings ease to the dog and they learn it is safe which brings more cooperation. It isn’t about perfection, it is about their comfort and having a loving, easeful experience.

Important Info:
Pricing: $95 up to $160 per dog. Price is based on coat type, condition of coat at time of appointment and time spent grooming. Price includes bath, nail trim/dremel, haircut. To get a quote, please upload photo of your pup through the intake form after booking your appointment and expect a quote response in 24-48 hours. Firm price will be given at time of grooming. (Multiple dog house hold eligible for discounted rate).
Please note: Kenna does not express anal glands or brush teeth.
1. Anal glands are meant to perform on their own—constant expression weakens the muscles. If you prefer your dog’s anal glands to be expressed, it should be done internally by a vet.
2. Teeth health needs to be a consistent daily routine. In order for teeth brushing to actually be effective your dog’s teeth must be brushed 1-2 times daily. Having your pets teeth brushed every 6-8 weeks at time of haircut will not make any difference in the health of your dogs teeth, including get rid of tartar or bad breath.
Payment: Cash, Check, Venmo or Paypal accepted at time of service.
Tips: Always appreciated but never expected. Groomers typically receive 15- 20% tip for service.
Timing: 1-2.5 hours per dog depending on condition of and size of dog.
Scheduling: 6-8 weeks is average time frame between grooms. More or less is OK but a consistent schedule means better coat condition, quicker groom time and lower end pricing.
Location: Servicing Rensselaer and Albany counties at this time. Exceptions will be made for extra fee.
Set Up: Kenna brings her own supplies, portable table and small velocity blow dryer. Set up is typically in a kitchen, dining room or garage, preferably on a hardwood or linoleum floor. Bathing can happen in kitchen sink or bathroom tub.
Products: Blueberry facial and a small selection of natural based shampoos. You can provide your own shampoo if preferred.
Vaccines: Proof of up to date Rabies and Distemper required.
Clean up: Kenna will sweep up and vacuum after groom is completed.
